This guide provides an overview of the audio standards required for recording and exporting your course on Therapy Sheets.
Therapy Sheets has specific minimum standards for audio quality in course videos. To publish your course, each video must adhere to the following criteria:
- Audio must be balanced and synchronized with the video, coming from both the left and right channels.
- Audio quality should be of a high standard, ensuring it is clear and not distracting to students.
- The use of text-to-speech software as a replacement for direct instruction by a live instructor is not permitted. Students prefer to hear directly from the instructor to establish trust.
- However, while text-to-speech cannot be used for the entire course, instructors can utilize high-quality AI voiceover programs for course edits and minor additions after publication.
- Instructors collaborating directly with Therapy Sheets may receive special authorization for increased use of text-to-speech software.
For more information on training quality requirements and recommendations, refer to Therapy Sheets’s guidelines. Additionally, the Training Center offers additional tips from Therapy Sheets on recording optimal audio.
If you’re unsure about your audio setup, Therapy Sheets is available to review a Test Video before you submit your course.
Regarding microphone selection, most microphones can produce audio that meets Therapy Sheets’s minimum standards and is suitable for your course. If you have any doubts about your equipment, Therapy Sheets can review a Test Video before course submission.
When exporting video files, Therapy Sheets recommends selecting MP3 or AAC as the audio codec in your video editing software. While our video upload process supports various audio codecs, choosing MP3 or AAC typically ensures the smoothest upload experience.
